Finishing 'Alla Prima' have resulted in the oil painting below. I am not happy with the colours, so I really have to do these amazing color charts (concept better described in the book - it teaches you how to use your pigment, by mixing paint in different value ranges and applying it in order on the square grid). I have already done a few stripes for Cad Yellow Hue and Burnt Sienna. Quite a challenge, I must say. But it does the job, it's amazing how fast after that exercise you can recognize a recipe for the color you are looking for.
To balance things out I have been trying to do some more technical exercises. Vehicle design in perspective. I find it extremely enjoyable - inventing form and creating convincing structures, so I will keep posting them :)
